Imagine a sunny, autumn day in the city. You have a map and a plan to see a museum, get a coffee and walk down new streets. The day is yours. The city is yours.
Aahhhh Hogie, with this you brought back my trip downtown to Forest Park to visit the museum to see Monet's Water Lilies. We drove down, and before the time on our tickets to view it, my husband had to leave and return home for work. So after viewing the exhibit, my kids and I called him and told him that we would take the Metro home. So off we go on a cool day, leaves are falling, and we walk the trails through the Park, past the lakes, past the other museums to the Metro soaking up the sun and enjoying the season. It was a good day.
I usually prefer your cool color schemes but this is lovely Kim and you described it beautifully. I think we'd both enjoy a day like this on our own in a city (New York??)Lets meet up for dinner :-)
I would love to see your work licensed, but that might devalue it and I'd hate that! And now I'm off to take your advice. Hole-in-the-wall art supply shop and amazing used book store on the agenda. Just waiting for that sun to come out!
